Terms you should know 

erosion: prosess in which natural weather moves soil and other natural geographic feature.

drip tip: the tip of a leaf, normally found in the forest, that excesive water falls off.

epiphytes: a type of plant that normally grows of a tree that is found  in forest.

shallow root system: a type of root that normally is just below the ground or a system of roots that is above the ground.

vines: a part of a tree that is normally hanging from its branches.

lianas: a type of plant that is found in the dense forest that grows very tall.

emergent layer: this is a layer that is at the top most part of the forest in which is as tall as 200ft. above the forest floor. This is also the layer that receives the most sunlight.

canopy layer: this layer is below the highest layer and it is named like this for all its canopies and it has almost all of the living things in the forest here.

understory layer: this layer is just above the lowest layer of the forest and mostly insects live here.

forest floor: this is the lowest level in the forest, this layer receives the least sunlight and has almost no life except for big leaved plants.

water system: this is a system in which water flows like a river and supplies plants and animals with water.

flowering plants: a plant that has a seed in a closed ovary.

non-flowering plant: a plant that has a seed in an ovary that is open.

This shows non-flowering plants, some erosion (because of the soil that is run down by water), and shallow root system. 

  This is a shallow root system and non-flowering plants.

 Here you can see drip tips, vines, epiphytes, Canopy Layer, Understory Layer, and Forest Floor. 

  This is a watering system that is also known as a waterfall. 

    In this picture you can see the emergent layer. 

      In the back of the center of the picture you can see some lianas and the forest floor.
